Two more weeks, two more wins. A bit subdued, though, as Oregon nearly knocked us off, and we played flat the whole first half against the Huskies.

But hey, it's Big Game week. If they can't get excited about Stanford, then they're not Cal players. ;) And we're still #4 in the country.

At the beginning of the season, I was rooting for a Golden Rose Bowl -- that is the Golden Gophers vs. the Golden Bears. Alas, that doesn't look like it was meant to be. If all goes well, we'll be there, but first we have to get past Stanford and SoMiss and neither of those are easy.

Indiana's a hard team to figure. They beat the Oregon Ducks this year, and that Oregon team nearly knocked Cal off, so go figure.

Neat factoid. With the exception of Arizona, who joined the Pac-10 in 1978 and has never been to the Rose Bowl, every team in the Pac-10 and the Big-10 has gone to the Rose Bowl since Cal's last apperance.

If all goes well and we end up there this year, the team that gets that dubious honour is your Gophers. :P

Good luck to you guys wherever you end up playing, though. :)
