Well...hee!

The one million d6's comes from a programming assignment. In my boredom in class, I'd written a dice roller. And so I asked my TA what would happen if I tried rolling one million d6's in the program on the sucky macs we used...he said to go ahead and try it.

After the longest wait I've ever had for a program to come out, we discovered the mean for one million d6's to be near 3 million...

But since then, that's been my ultimate test of a dice roller...if it'll roll one million d6's. :)

Aah, that makes sense...I'm reminded of when I decided to see how long it would take my computer to count from one to a billion.

When I read it, though, I just had an image of some horrible powergamer RPG session. "I cast HorribleSpellOfDeath!" "*sigh* Roll 1,000,000d6..."
