Date: 2001-12-10 02:01 pm (UTC)The one million d6's comes from a programming assignment. In my boredom in class, I'd written a dice roller. And so I asked my TA what would happen if I tried rolling one million d6's in the program on the sucky macs we used...he said to go ahead and try it.
After the longest wait I've ever had for a program to come out, we discovered the mean for one million d6's to be near 3 million...
But since then, that's been my ultimate test of a dice roller...if it'll roll one million d6's. :)
