Psych homework
Nov. 5th, 2001 02:51 pmSo...I have psych homework due Wednesday. And part of the assignment is to ask people that know me to pick five adjectives to describe me. So...insert five adjectives below, and then please tell me in comments why you picked those five to describe me, so I can turn in a good paper.
[Okay, specifically, here's the assignment.
"What four or five adjectives would likely be chosen to describe you by people who know you well? What four or five adjectives would you choose for yourself? Are they similiar? Different? If different -- what are people not seeing in you that you see in yourself? Who's expectations do you try hardest to live up to? What does this suggest about your locus of control? Be as specific as you can and give examples."
So I won't be filling out this poll myself, but I'll prolly post the paper when I get done...]

why
Date: 2001-11-05 11:56 pm (UTC)strong: i mean strong in a mental/emotional sense. you deal with flip-flopping emotions on a daily basis, insecurities tossed at you by imaginary demons, paranoia and half the time you're unsure if these demons are really there or not, yet you still present an image of someone who's dealing with it gracefully, who's in control as much as possible, who's going to get the most out of their life in spite of it. you're not weak, you've managed to gain control and keep some kind of life for yourself. i can point out at least three other people who aren't doing such a good job of this.
friendly: you are, and you go out of your way to make sure you are.
intelligent: heh, scholarship to berkeley, those GRE scores, every time you swear you're going to fail, you blow things out of the water. you're not dumb and you'd have to try pretty hard to pass for it.
depressed: this much is obvious. it's not a constant though, so keep that in mind and keep doing what you do best, hang in there.
