Just got through psych test today. my group got a 33/30. :) My life is rocking today, and it's kinda nice. :)

plus my group said I was smart! w00t! Warm fuzzies!

[oh yeah, forgot in the wake of the really awesome score on my test, I got my two essays on how I manipulate others/how others manipulate me back. I got a 6/5 on both, for a 12/10. w00t.]

That reminds me... What do they mean when they say someone "set the curve" ? I keep seeing that expression but can't reference it...

AFAIK, it refers to the old bell-curve methods - when a teacher would give out a certain number of A's, B's, etc. regardless of the average score, because they'd weight the scores according to the average. (i.e. if everyone got 90-100%, the 90% person would get an F - alternatively, if the best score was 10%, that person would get an A.)

And the person who "set the curve" was, traditionally, the person who got the highest score, since by definition that was 100% after you did the bell manipulations.

Every single time over the past coupla years that a friend has expressed doubt about how they were about to do on a test, they proceeded to prove themselves spectacularly wrong. The trend continues I see. congrats.
