I'm in hell. Excuse me, correction, I am in Atlanta, waiting to get back on the plane.

The flight here was uneventful; the flight to Sactown should be much more of the same.

And then I will be home.

Do not want?

Anyway, hi. Can has comment nao plz?

Atlanta!!! If you have time go to the Waffle House. We don't have them here and I love them. You pay something like $3 and eat for a week. lol

Well, to be fair, the only part of Atlanta I've experienced was the airport.

This layover was not so bad, but this summer was a near disaster. "Hi, you now have to go to gate A13 instead of B6, and here you are at B7. And no, we're having troubles finding a wheelchair for your mother, and no, we may not let her go to the bathroom before getting on the plane..."

Yeah. It was at that moment that I really hated ATL. This time was okay, though. Maybe because I was getting back on the same plane.

This time, at least, I was getting back on the same plane. So it wasn't as bad as the last time.

Gotta love it when Granny shows up. %)

Atlanta's not so bad. You're not in hell unless you're flying through Dallas. (I believe it was General Sherman who said "if I owned Hell and Texas I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas.")

Haven't been to any of the Texas airports yet. Done SFO, OAK, SMF, LAX, Orange County, SEA, ATL, BOS, YHZ, SLC, Cincy, BWI, PHL. (*think* I think that's all of them. Oh yeah, right, I did actually fly commercial out of RDD once. And Klamath Falls, when I was way too young to remember it.) Will probably add Denver and Vegas to it over the coming year. Surprisingly, I've never been out of SJC, but then again, I've not really lived in South Bay, so maybe it's not such a surprise.

I was trying to list them, but I realized that it's been a while when I've been in a lot of those places. The key thing is that I like my home airport (SMF) a lot, so that helps.

I should send you Ursula Le Guin's Changing Planes. If it does nothing else for you, it will make you feel much more hopeful about airports.

Enh, I don't mind airports so much. It's just, I had a horrific experience in ATL last summer and it's sorta colored my opinion of the place.

Although this time wasn't so bad...

Unfortunately, I was in Concourse T!

Ah well, I'll have to remember that. I'm sure some trip or another will punt me through Concourse A at some point.
