Called long distance to talk to a friend, and as I walked out into the kitchen to hang up the phone, I saw Britiney lying in the kitchen staring behind the fridge. So I walked over there to try and figure out what just happened.

There was something small and fuzzy behind the fridge. A mouse? Too big. A rat? Are rats colored like that? And then it moved and I saw an ear. Bunny.

To be more specific, the neighbor's bunny.

So we had three adults and two kids trying to figure out how to get a bunny out from behind the fridge.

A bit of levity, a reminder that life goes on even in the greatest of tragedies. Mundanity still happens.
