yay for con weekend!

Yeah, it's just the dinky little local roleplaying convention, but hey, gotta start somewhere. It'll be nice to have more than "one night at Baycon" (hey...there's a filk idea...) under my belt before trying WorldCon. (That said, I'd like to go to BayCon, but eeh, money, and hotel room and ...yeah. Worldcon '08 is going to be tough enough, and I'm already planning a year or so in advance.)

But. anyway. it should be fun.

Don't expect to see much of me.

I won't be going to Baycon this year. With Star Wars Celebration just a few blocks away from where I live, you know that I'm not going to miss that.

One night at Baycon

For one night of Baycon
-- I snuck out of my house
Now I'm standing in Registration
Next to someone dressed up as a mouse

One night at baycon --
I've missed everything
From the panels on ... oh, hell, I can't doddle any more of this, I don't know enough about baycon to make refs.

...So.

One night at I-Con
I pulled in to my spot
Only to find the con an hour's walk
From the parking lot
The registration line was a quarter-mile long
And I was in front of fifteen Vashes
And a dude in a chainmail thong
One night at I-Con
Though it should've been a day
Traffic and the long, long lines had frittered it away
But I went to Javits --
But wound up in the Gym
Dragged there by a friend
To watch the charity auction begin...
