sorting through paperwork, and I found this very neatly written on a piece of paper:
1st Tier (Schools I really want to go to):
1. Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA
2. University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA
3. UC Berkeley, Berkeley, CA
2nd Tier (If 1st Tier doesn't work, I want to go here)
1. Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
2. Dartmouth University, Hanover, NH
3. Yale University, New Haven, CT
4. Duke University, Durham, NC
3rd Tier (Schools I can get into, Plan B)
1. Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX
2. Centre College
3. Whitworth College, Spokane, WA
4th Tier (if all else fails)
1. CSU Chico, Chico, CA
2. Shasta College, Redding, CA
...well, I *did* go to a school in my first tier... ;)

Date: 2006-09-25 04:49 pm (UTC)1. Apply to almost all UCs (avoid Irvine) and Stanford (parents wanted me to apply to Harvard as well, so I did)
2. I go to the best university I get into
3. Worst case scenario, there's always UC Riverside (which I knew I could get into)
Amusingly enough, I really wanted to go to UCSD, but my parents gave me two choices: UCLA or Cal.
