Micah 6:8 (New King James Version)

8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
      And what does the LORD require of you
      But to do justly,
      To love mercy,
      And to walk humbly with your God?

I stumbled across this in a post about the All Saints Pasadena controversy, and I wanted to put it somewhere where I would remember it. I figured it was worth sharing. Hence, here it is.

Sounds like someone forgot the "walking humbly" part of that. It's very easy to get so caught up in "doing justice" that we forget that:
1) Even people we disagree with may have the best of intentions--and may even be right and we, wrong.
2) No human being knows all of God's will. Usually, all we know is what's for breakfast, if we're fortunate enough to have breakfast.

All the same, Government-enforced clerical quietism is not what the framers intended.
