I'm having troubles sleeping.

At 11:30 this evening, we had *pop-pop-pop-pop-pop* *pop-pop-pop-pop-pop*.

And then, just now, we had *pop* *pop* *pop-pop-pop*.

They sound like gunshots, but where they're coming from is unknown. So not much we can *do*.

Scary, though.

They probably are someone A) hunting, or B) practicing shooting somewhere. (There's some kind of shooting range within earshot of our place, and we hear it at night sometimes. It's annoying.) There's also a third C) idiots with firecrackers.

You could probably call the police (via the non-emergency number) and ask if there's a firing range in your area that you don't know about?

Geeze, try not to get scared, I know it's easy for me to say, living in London not too much of that going on here ;-).

Have you tried calling the cops, maybe they know of some shooting range around there somewhere. Probably people out hunting or something. But still best to get it checked out.
