I used to get telemarketers calling asking if I wanted to change phone service while I lived in a dorm room.

I get them occasionally here at work.

Them: "Do you want to take advantage of our really kickass deal?"

Me: "This is a medical school and I am sure we have a contract for telecom, and even if we didn't, I can't change that stuff."

Them: "But our spiffy discounts are really GOOD!"

Me: "I'm really sorry, but I really can't do anything about that. We're a research lab. We just use the phone system they give us. Thanks for calling, but you really would need to talk to administration." *click"

At least they seem to have gotten the point and taken us off the list.
