Phone Post: pure randomness

Yeah, I promise, if I use this feature, to use the transcribe feature as soon as I'm able to get to a computer. Because I know some of you don't want to deal with listening to this, and it makes it easier to search for me as well. :)

Nifty feature
Re: Nifty feature
Date: 2003-11-16 06:20 pm (UTC)Don't we all. That took several takes to get it in a form that I was happy with, and that was just me being silly. I'll never be an on-the-spot television reporter. ;)
So is the transcription part of the post-by-phone feature itself, or something separate?
It's part of the phone post feature, but I had to do it myself once the phone post was published to my journal. The transcription is stored with the ogg, because if I was to edit the post, I'd see this:
<lj-phonepost user='katster' phonepostid='1' />
and then the text under the <hr>
I'm pretty impressed, really.
For some unexplainable subconscious reason, I find your voice to be "odd" to ME. I'm not sure why. I mean you sound perfectly normal, and very clear, but there's just "something there" that tickles my "odd bone". :-)
For once, I've found my voice is somewhat gender-ambiguous, which is kinda neat, but that throws people. That, and I'm just an odd person. :) It might just be in my odd inflections and stuff, I tend to say "y'know" and "y'all" and other random combinations a lot. But that's kinda neat.
My next phone post will probably be completely unscripted and with a noisy background. We'll see what happens. :)
