nyeah.

it hit 116° today. It's 5:30 and still 115° at the airport. And there's cloud cover.

I think I'm melting. I have no AC (it broke late last week), and the swamp cooler is valiantly trying to keep me cool, but is blowing mostly hot air. it sucks.

Remind me to yell at my folks for leaving without looking at the AC. even the cats are feeling the heat, and I'm worried about them, the air is so stale and hot, they've got to be having problems...

Whee!

Here it hit 26 degrees today, and it's been snowing for four hours... a 90-degree difference!

Brrr!

But snow would be nice. My SO keeps trying to lure me to Halifax. (I'm a native Californian.) We're working on words like snow and ice and blizzard. (Well, and words like earthquake and heat in the other direction.) :)

Anything would be better than the Great Central Valley at the height of summer, though. :)

Jesus, where do you live!? Hell?

It might be almost worth it if the heat's baking out your depression, but ... eeek!

Redding, California. The far north end of the Great Central Valley.

Temps get over 110 for a week or so mostly every summer, but 116 is a pretty high temp for the area. We're not Death Valley. :)

It was only 104 today. Positively cool! :)

Didn't do so good at baking depression out, though.

Eep! I'd send you an air conditioner (we have a couple of old window units somewhere), but I don't think it'd get there fast enough to matter much. (Not to mention the cost of shipping would be pretty scary.) So I guess I'll just hope a LOT that it cools down FAST.

Enh, no worries. It was 104 today, and the swamp cooler did a better job of keeping things cool. (It doesn't work when it's humid, or the temp is above 110, like it's been the three days prior to today.)

Thanks for the thought, though. :)
