After a year and a half of waiting...

There is one rather large hardback with a dark blue cover sitting in a bag on my bed. My kid sis drug me to Barnes and Noble so she could get a copy, so I picked up a second one. (The first one should be in tomorrow's mail, it'll prolly go right back out in the mail to Nova Scotia, along with book #4.)

I shouldn't have gotten as lucky as I did last night, because neither my sister or I had a pre-order, but we both got one. The Redding BN had 200 extra copies, and so they handed out tickets from 3250 to 3450. my sister had number 3366 and I had 3367, so we both got one. :)

So yeah, I'm going to be reading for the next day. And yeah, I'm 24 and a half years old and I confess to liking Harry Potter.

Hey, I'm 53-and-a-half, and I got a copy last night (well, early this a.m. actually), too. After reading Books 1-4 in approximately a week and a half to catch up, I knew I had to get a copy for each kid and one for myself as well - no way could the three of us share a single copy. I pre-ordered from Border's back in May, so we got a 40% discount.

Ja, Verderber nicht, bitte! It'll be a while before I read it, as the rest of the family will get and read it first..then I just read their copy ~.~ Should be awesome, though..time for Harry to begin his coming of age, and with only two to go, I'd imagine the escalation to the climax will also begin.

I picked up my copy through the expedient of casually strolling into the small, relatively unpatronized bookstore at the station, where they happened to have a dozen or so copies that nobody seemed to be trampling down the door for. %)
