I've gone running around canada and mexico in the past without taking so much as a driver's license!

Well, some of the hijackers DID sneak over from Canada. Although, they were on the 'do not let into the country list' anyway. I'm so confused.

that's part of why I'm annoyed. I'm having a certain basic freedom to move about that I've ahd all my liafe taken away for no good reason. We've spent insane, obscene, and unbelievable amounts of money trying to lock down the border I grew up near (mexico) and it's never managed to keep most of the poor, undereducated, non-resource-enabled illegals out (good thing, IMO. I hate immigration control).

why do They (the people demanding I get a passport to get into my own freaking nation) think they are going to do any better with hypothetical, or real, terrorists who have so much more going for them than my wetback neighbors and classmates did?

Doesn't make sense, much.
