today's thought for the day.
Jan. 23rd, 2003 01:11 amLove is a heavy biaser. You become biased in favour of your SO (or if you're poly, SOs), and sometimes it's hard for anybody involved to think straight.
It's just something that I've realized, that our signifgant others change our perspectives ever so slowly, and it's a neat change, even if the final result is that one person goes after another because of it. Oops.
Anyway, just thinking. I do that. But I should go to bed, because I have class!
(PS: Thank you to
whitestar2 who made the icon used in this post, which will be used for my nightly sum up posts unless I feel like using my main icon.) :)

Date: 2003-01-24 09:59 pm (UTC)For now, I'll just say that yes, it is a wonderful thing when it occurs and especially when it is requited and love grows by bounds and increases as it is recursively shared at such a level..a circle of two. Yet, pursuing loving (or otherwise) relationships as one's sole goal in life, as our culture tends to pressure us into doing, greatly limits awareness and causes other aspects of one's life to suffer, as well as suffering to one's self in general in resisting against What Is.
I'll have to think and meditate more upon the bias that one has towards significant others, before attempting to write anything about it. (Putting it like that, it might be a while before I have anything to go on.) ~.~
