my friend [livejournal.com profile] ameth asked these questions last year, and I think it would be interesting to see how people answer them this year.

So...

so, what did you learn this year? was it worth it? do you have any regrets?

what hopes, dreams, plans do you have for 2003?

I'll post mine tomorrow, these go in what I traditionally call my "looking forward" post.

[Oh yeah, if you do this in your own journal, link it back to here, willya? I want to see what people have to say.]

What I learned this year? That as long as I have my friends, there isn't *ANYTHING* on this planet that can keep me down for long.
Was it worth it? Hell yes.
Do I have any regrets? Only that it took me this long to figure it out.

Happy new year, Katya.

What did I learn this year? XML, XSL, the CSS box model, how to work Cisco 2500 series routers other techie stuff... As far as morality, humanism, and love, I'm still clueless, although I did learn that a full time school schedule plus a job means that I don't have much time to fiddle with hobbies and side projects.

Regrets? I regret being a bit trigger happy with the flamethrower on certain boards. I regret not having the money to ship checks to some charities and things I've been meaning to donate to.

Was it worth it? Yes. It was a good year overall.

Hopes for the coming year? I hope that Air Force One has an accident and falls on Dick Cheney's undisclosed location (hi mister ashcroft!). Seriously now: I hope to get a job that actually pays money; currently, I'm volunteering. I hope to get a car, or at least a residence within walking distance of where I end up working. I hope the economy turns up a bit. I hope the mess in Afghanistan evens out and the people can finally experience peace. Same for the rest of the world. I hope we're all here again in good spirits next year for another round of this.

It's fairly obvious that I don't want to be here at the end of 2003..then again, it's somewhat worth noting that during these past three New Year's Days, I've been in three separate apartments, and now I want to make it a fourth..but no more after that, I've had enough of being a wanderer, moving only where the work is. It's definitely time to settle down.

Not going unemployed this year unlike 01 and 02 would be a good thing as well.

Come March, I'll start dreaming like every other Cubs fan..then have those dreams dashed by June..but that's life in Wrigleyville (whether from near or far) ~.~

Overall, I aim on staying fit, staying aware, and staying focused..and improving on all those. There's always room for improvement.

But heck, tonight's just another night. ~.~

so, what did you learn this year?
I'm not sure yet.

was it worth it?
I think so.

do you have any regrets?
Only for those people I miss - especially those who have died.

what hopes, dreams, plans do you have for 2003?
Being more organized!
