See, Canadians have this charming British idea that the thing to do with money is buy a few pieces of really good clothing, china, and furniture, and then put the rest of it away and don't talk about it. Name me three Canadian multi-millionaires. Name one. Name a British millionaire who isn't titled.

Now name three American multi-millionaires. There. See how easy that was?

There are multi-millionaire (in US$, even) in Canada, but they don't brag about it, or try to convince other people that it makes them better. Except for the Seagrams.

Now, if your distant ancestors killed a lot of people and took their stuff, THAT'S something to brag about. Which is, in essence, the position of the Royals and their ilk. ^_^
