...as Cal offense sucked, but still pulled out a win. And WSU didn't find the endzone all day and was 2-18 on third and fourth down conversions. The defense shut them down. Next week, Washington, in Berkeley. They're better this year, and we *never* want to overlook an opponent, so it should be another good game. Cal improves to 6-1 on the season, and gets bowl eligible for the fourth season in a row.

Day 1.

So I'm getting ready for bed, and I'm lying here with the lights off. And one dog very carefully lies on the back side of my legs, and the other hops up on the other side. I carefully move the laptop screen so I can see who's down at the far end. It's Zoe, which means that the dog tucked behind my knees must be DJ. This is encouraging, because we've spent the day carefully dancing around one another, and DJ barking at me when I startle her. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

(For those not in the know, I'm dogsitting for [livejournal.com profile] mactavish and [livejournal.com profile] deyo, and DJ and Zoe are the names of their dogs.)

Day 2.

I have mochi. And dinner (pea soup) was enjoyed by all present. Still dancing with DJ, but she's getting a bit more confident with me to the point she'll occasionally let me touch her after she licks my hand.

I've forgotten about Bay Area Octobers, so I've been spending a good chunk of the day huddled in my jacket. At least the weather reports show it warming up by Wednesday.

Going to head to bed in a bit, it's been a little bit of a busy day. We'll see how it goes.

Tomorrow? I go markersnarfing with [livejournal.com profile] whytraven up Berkeley way. I need to look at the lists of what's on the registers before she shows up tomorrow morning.

But right now, it's all good. Life is happymaking, and that's always a good sign.
