...the *crunch* as one automobile hits another.

Got in a minor fenderbender today. Nobody got hurt, there's fairly minor damage to the automobiles. I was driving along, scanning for a parking spot, when somebody backed out into me. Oops.

I just should not be allowed to drive a car in the first half of February if I'm going to have this kind of luck. (For those of you who don't know, I got in a wreck on 9 Feb 2001, so you can see where this is kinda funny.)

So yeah, I'm fine, she's fine, we're all fine, and now it's just dealing with aftermath. it sucketh, but I'll deal. Just hope that it's not my fault, right?

by default, the person backing up is at fault. it's an insurance thing, very hard to convince them otherwise, too. so i wouldn't give it another minute's worry, if i were you.

yeah, just remembering the last accident I was in where both parties insisted their light was green. Whee. Good to know that this ain't mine.

I hate fenderbenders...I got into a rather nasty one in my grandmother's car less than a month after I got my license. I had a friend in the car with me and was making a left turn into Taco Bell, and didn't realize the car in the oncoming traffic lane was a LOT closer than I thought it was...totally my bad. Fortunately, it worked out alright, although we didn't get the car fixed for a while, so I had to drive around with a crushed-in rear passenger door for a while. It taught me a valuable lesson, though; I've been EXTRA-careful whenever making an unprotected left ever since.

Still, any accident you don't have to go to the hospital after, isn't a terrible one...glad you just had a fenderbender and not a bad wreck, and that nobody got hurt.
