My cousin Scott and his family was scheduled to be on American Airlines flight 11, from Boston to LAX, on Tuesday morning.

They missed the plane.

I have another cousin who works in the WTC. Again, luckily, Sept. 11th was his anniversary and he took the day off work.

I have one lucky family.

[Update: My sister related the story to me wrong. Yeah, the airline story happened. But it was only Cousin Scott's wife scheduled to be on the flight. It still would have been a horrible blow to my family, but...not as deveastating as it could have been.]

*hug*

This reminds me of one of the stories about the Titanic, for some reason. The man who missed the boat, and lived, while most of those who made it aboard died.

I'm glad they're ok. *hug* :)

Small blessings, methinks. Those who did not fly on that day were not at risk, whereas those that did, were at risk.

Not that I'm saying that I'm not thankful that your family didn't lose loved ones, just that the fact should not have occurred.
