The USPS gives advice on transporting your pet rock:

PET ROCKS

Probably the only pet easier to move than a turtle. Be
careful to not let your pet rock out of its box while you
are driving the car. It's simply too easy for them to cause
an accident by slipping under your gas or brake pedal.

(from http://www.usps.com/moversnet/pets2.html)

Or if that isn't enough, read "How to Pack Your Hippo".

Snagged these for use in meatloaf! (That's homemade spam, you know...)

I never wondered how to pack a hippo.

Now I'm wondering why I didn't. :D

I always move my Pet Rock in his special carrying case so he doesn't have an accident. I find this post especially helpful though since I'll be moving soon. TIA! Now, where did I put that soothing hippo music?
