I suck at lyrics out of context. But #20 is "Behind Blue Eyes," by the Who. OH! And #16 is "In My Life," Beatles.

I'm amazed nobody got The Boxer, #1. Maybe it's because that verse is only in that one live version. ;)

Of the ones that haven't been figured out already:

But in my state of blind confusion/ no god can pull me out

Jars of Clay - "Fade to Grey". A favorite of mine to play and sing, off their second album.

Several others sound vaguely familiar but I can't peg them right now...

Got all of 'em.

And I don't control the randomizer (and that song has been, for a long time, one of my anthems) so I left it. :)

Yeah, it's actually his solo work, but yeah. Good stuff. :)

16. Some are gone and some remain George Harrison, The Beetles, Faces.

Doh? Is this in two songs? I have it down as "In My Life".

(way too easy, that bonus)

I feel like I should recognize some of the othters. :-\

Yep. %)

I'm still sorry Simon lost the argument over that. He wanted that verse in, Garfunkle wanted the musical interlude. While the song's pretty with the instrumental, I like the verse better. :)

Yeah. That one's yours. (Well, and [livejournal.com profile] phenyx, he's the one that introduced me to Keelaghan's music.)

Check the one above it, y'ought to get that one too. :)

*grins.* yep. And I still haven't forgiven Keelaghan for letting Cold Missouri Waters drift off into Shenandoah like that, btw. It's still the most heartbreaking music I've ever heard.

Date: 2004-05-06 12:17 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] katster.livejournal.com
Yeah, which is why I was amused when the randomizer cued Shenandoah and Cold Missouri Waters back to back like that, because I remember your take.

I ought to check if the Williams/Kaplansky/Shindell version of Cold Missouri Waters does the Shenandoah thing.

[livejournal.com profile] incandescens gave me her copy of Children of Eden. I like it a lot (she less-so). That's one Eve who doesn't -- as so many I've read do -- come off as a... well, a wimp. ("Why did you put questions in me?" "Why did you disobey me?!" "That's not an answer!")
