I think this is one of the happier pics I have of me. :)

So, now I get dressed, and then I'm off to the Big Game. Cal vs. Stanford. The greatest rivalry in college football. But then again, I'm biased. This is our best chance in years to take back the Axe, but I don't completely know if it's going to happen. The last time the odds were this good, it was 1998. Cal was 5-5 coming into Big Game (this year we're 6-5) and Stanfurd was 1-9 (this year they're 2-8), and it was my birthday and we were going to win and actually get to go to a bowl...

final score, California 3, Stanfurd 10.

Ow. I cried.

Anyway, hopefully it'll work out better this year. Go Bears, get the Axe back!

For this year's apple cup, we have an oddity. UW is 6-5, and unranked. WSU is undefeated, and ranked 3rd in the nation.

I'm really in turmoil over who I want to win. UW's my alma mater, and it feels almost sacreligious to say anything positive about the Cougars...

But if WSU wins, they go to the Rose Bowl. And, well, ANY Washington team is better than any other team taking the top spot.

didn't know you were so local! i work up on the hill. i follow GoldenBears Hockey, though, not to terribly interested in The Big Game. the hockey version is "The Big Freeze" or "The Freeze Out". MuaH!

Speaking of Huskies, I'm glad the "not won to this team since 1976" streak is finally broken. We broke that one, we broke Stanfurd's streak, and we broke ASU's streak in Tempe. It's been a great season for my Bears, so... gotta love 'em
