Dear Berkeley voter:

Global Exchange urges you to vote YES this Tuesday on Measure "O,"
the Responsible Coffee Initiative.

...you've just made me more likely to vote *against* your measure instead of for it. I hate spam.

Okay, I just have to know...

What is a Responsible Coffee Initiative? Is it making sure to throw out your cup when you're done with it, or to put the lid on tightly so you don't get splashed, or to put another pot on if you've just taken the last cup?

(Actually, I'd imagine that it probably has to do with where and how coffee is grown, but that's not nearly as entertaining as the other ideas.)

Actually, you pegged it. It's the boring one.

And seriously, this is Berkeley, I understand, but is specifying the city government use fair trade coffee only *really* necesary?

global exchange is a good organization, and it is important that everyone use fair trade coffee.
