football madness

Well, finally. We played a Friday night game, the third nationally televised since we've become one of the top 15 programs in the country, and it's the first time we didn't stink up the joint. It's been pretty obvious there's been a talent different between Cal and the four teams we've played so far, and it will be different now that we're entering the teeth of Pac-10 play.
But it's been a fun season, and we're 4-0 for the first time since my freshman year. Of course, I hope we don't repeat the pattern of my freshman year, which went 5-0 to start the season, and 1-6 the rest of the year, including a 4OT victory over Arizona and our bowl loss to Navy.
And yeah, Lynch was supposed to be the stud RB this year, but damn, look at Forsett. And Ayoob (which spells Booya backwards -- go bears!) seems to be settling down somewhat. Not bad, not bad at all. Let's keep it up. Bring on the Wildcats.
