5. Cody's Books in Berkeley is still one of my favourite places.

7. ...I wanna go *home*! And *home* isn't where I grew up!

on the subject of dishen...

okay.

Mom and I went out of town, for two days. I left some dishes undone, but not enough to fill the dishwasher. Care to guess how many dishes there were when I got back?

a) None. My dad and sister were very nice to me and took care of my dishes while they were doing their own.
b) The dishes I had left unwashed, as a pointed reminder this was still my job.
c) All of the dishes I'd left, plus the ones that they'd used while I was gone. And to boot, the toaster got left out.

If you guessed answer c, you're right. And it's a point I'm going to make to Dad if he *ever* starts harrassing me about not jumping immediately on the dishes after dinner's over.

And my sister's a selfish brat, but we knew that. :P
