old friends and birthdays...

yeah, I'm not in bed yet. I got sidetracked.

Yes. I called Luns, to let him know the good news. Luns is one of my old Berkeley friends, and I try to talk to him whenever I get the chance, but it seems like that's been few and far between since I graduated. So we spent an hour and a half on the phone while I caught him up with what's going on with me, and he let me know what was up with him...and yeah, Patrick, before you ask, he approves. :) He's just as stunned at the whole graduate school thing as I am, but this marks the return of the Barrows Basement Hosers. (Luns, Akop, and I used to hang out in Barrows as opposed to Eschleman my senior year (avoiding stupidity, and we liked playing with the servers better anyway...) and did such escapades as play Frisbee in the hall and ride my bike around the basement of Barrows...)

Anyway... :) yeah, so we spent an hour and a half on the phone, and I'll get to see him in a month and a half...
